Application of fungicides may affect the populations and activity of soil microorganisms, particularly fungi, with a consequence for soil fertility and crop growth. In the current study, the effects of different levels of metalaxyl on soil microbial biomass carbon (C) and nitrogen (N), microbial biomass C/N ratio and metabolic quotient under field conditions were assessed. Two levels of metalaxyl (30 and 60 kg.ha-1) were applied in planted soils with corn and unplanted calcareous soils, using a split-plots experiment in a completely randomized design with three replications. The C and N contents in soil microbial biomass as well as metabolic quotient were measured at 30 and 90 days after the onset of the experiment. Results showed that in cultivated soils metalaxyl application at 30 kg.ha-1 increased (15-80%) significantly (p≤0.01) the amounts of microbial biomass C and N at both intervals (except microbial biomass C at 90 days) compared to the control soil (0 kg.ha-1), while in uncultivated soils both microbial biomass C and N reduced by almost 1-34%. Microbial biomass C/N ratios in unplanted soils decreased (15 and 53%) with increasing loading rates of metalaxyl, without a clear effect in cultivated soils. On the other hand, metabolic quotient values reduced (48%) at 30 and 60 kg.ha-1 metalaxyl in corn-cultivated soils when compared to untreated soils while in uncultivated soils metalaxyl rate at 30 kg.a-1 had the greatest values at 30 days, and increased with increasing the levels of metalaxyl at 90 days. In summary, application of metalaxyl can either reduce or increase soil biological indices, and the direction and changes are depended upon the application rate of metalaxyl, time elapsed since metalaxyl application and the presence or absence of plant.}, keywords = {Fungicide,Microbial carbon,Metabolic quotient,Nitrogen,Plant’s presence or absence}, title_fa = {بررسی اثرات اکولوژیکی سطوح مختلف قارچ کش متالاکسیل بر میزان زیست توده میکروبی خاک های کشت شده و کشت نشده ذرت (Zea mays L.) در شرایط مزرعه ای}, abstract_fa = {قارچ کش ها از جمله سموم پر مصرف در ایران و جهان است و کاربرد آنها می تواند بر فعالیت ریزجانداران خاکزی به خصوص قارچ ها تأثیرگذار باشد و تغییر در ترکیب و جمعیت میکروبی خاک می تواند حاصلخیزی خاک را تحت تأثیر قرار دهد. هدف این آزمایش ارزیابی تأثیر سطوح مختلف قارچ کش متالاکسیل بر میزان کربن و نیتروژن زیست توده میکروبی و نسبت آنها و نیز ضریب متابولیکی در شرایط کشت ذرت و بدون کشت تحت شرایط مزرعه ای بود. در این آزمایش، سطوح 30 و 60 کیلوگرم در هکتـار قارچ کش متالاکسیل در خاک های تحت کشت ذرت و بدون کشت به صورت کرت های خرد شده، در قالب طرح پایه بلوک های کاملاً تصادفی با سه تکرار در یک خاک آهکی مطالعه شد. میزان کربن و نیتروژن زیست توده میکروبی، همچنین ضریب متابولیکی طی دو مرحله در روزهای 30 و 90 پس از شروع آزمایش اندازه گیری شد. نتایج این بررسی نشان داد که در خاک تحت کشت ذرت کربن و نیتروژن زیست توده میکروبی در هر دو مرحله (به جز کربن زیست توده میکروبی مرحله دوم) در سطح 30 کیلوگرم در هکتار در مقایسه با شاهد به طور معنی دار (01/0p≤) افزایش (بین 15-80 درصد) یافت، در حالی که در محیط کشت نشده کاهش (بین 34-1 درصد) پیدا نمودند. نسبت کربن به نیتروژن زیست توده میکروبی در محیط کشت نشده با افزایش سطح سم کاهش (15 و 53 درصد) یافت، در حالی که در محیط کشت شده روند مشخصی نداشت. از سوی دیگر، روند تغییرات ضریب متابولیکی حاکی از آن بود که در محیط کشت شده با ذرت این شاخص در تیمارهای حاوی متالاکسیل در هر دو سطح 30 و 60 کیلوگرم در هکتار در مقایسه با شاهد کاهش (48 درصد) یافت، در حالی که محیط کشت نشده در مرحله اول سطح 30 کیلوگرم در هکتار بالاترین میزان این شاخص را داشت و در مرحله دوم مقدار آن با افزایش سطح متالاکسیل افزایش پیدا کرد. به طور کلی، مصرف قارچ کش متالاکسیل باعث کاهش و افزایش شاخص های زیستی در خاک های تیمار شده گردید و جهت و میزان این تغییرات به میزان مصرف سم، زمان سپری شده پس از مصرف آن و حضور یا عدم حضور گیاه در خاک بستگی دارد.}, keywords_fa = {حضور گیاه,ضریب متابولیکی,قارچ کش,کربن,نیتروژن میکروبی}, url = {https://agry.um.ac.ir/article_32381.html}, eprint = {https://agry.um.ac.ir/article_32381_22531852cbe99e976789cd8e2458b82d.pdf} }
